You know that feeling when you just miss your TP Kitties too much? That’s exactly what happened. So, TP Mother came up with a perfect excuse to bond — an exclusive watercolor painting session with 25 lovely TP Kitties at Café Kulture Greenhills.
Well, it wasn’t just any hangout. It was also our little celebration of TudungPeople’s 14th Anniversary!
It was a cozy Saturday afternoon filled with laughter, stories, and lots of “Uy, ang ganda ng sayo!” moments. There were snacks and drinks (everyone got to choose their own because we’re all about that freedom). And because we don’t do events without paandar, everyone received a loot bag that could easily pass as a birthday gift! It had a watercolor kit, two hijabs (including one from our new collection!), stickers, a 10% discount voucher from Café Kulture, and the real MVP — freshly baked choco love-a crinkles from BLKT Baked.
Why watercolor, you ask?
Because it’s the most modest of all art forms. Calm, fluid, expressive. Parang hijabi version ng painting. It teaches patience, creativity, and acceptance (especially when your painting doesn’t look like the sample, hehe). It’s also a gentle reminder to just go with the flow, literally and figuratively.
But no worries, no one was left to fend for themselves with just a brush and hope. The super talented Leanne Alonto of The Calm Creative Studio guided everyone step by step, and we swear, by the end of it, half the group looked ready for their first art exhibit. Even those who said “di ako marunong magdrawing,” turned into watercolor prodigies! Haha!
And of course, it wouldn’t be a TP gathering without a little fashion moment. We officially launched our 14th Birthday Collections — Soirée, Jewel, and Monogram 2.0! The 25 attendees got early access. VIP treatment, as always. 😎
Oh, and because we love a little sneak peek moment, we also showed a glimpse of our upcoming Linen Collection, which opened for pre-orders that same day. Let’s just say, some wallets cried but hearts were definitely happy.
After our intimate painting sesh, we opened the doors from 4 to 7 PM for a public pop-up, so other TP Kitties could join the fun. Because really, what’s a celebration without the rest of the fam?
Modesty meets art, indeed. Sometimes, all you need is a little color, a good cup of coffee, and your TP sisters by your side to turn a simple Saturday into something truly special. 🌸
